Ljuslunga II is part of a series of light sculptures that look at breathing as a phenomenon from various perspectives.

Ljuslunga II handles photosynthesis, nature’s enchanting process that transforms light into matter and whose by-product gives birth to life in the form of oxygen. The work is a kind of an artificial, breathing organism that filters the glowing light from within, through dried algae.
