Reflektor Vuosaari

Reflektor brings a unique sound experience to Vuosaari, Kallahdenniemi. The work by artist Antti Puumalainen explores the connection between man and nature:
The sound installation “I am a stone, I am a tree” draws its content largely from the human voice and natural materials. The sound installation “I am a stone, I am a tree” gives the trees and stones of the forest a voice and an identity, allowing the viewer to identify with the surrounding nature. In addition to the original Finnish language, the work will be performed in a multilingual version – the phrases “I am a stone, I am a tree” can be heard in Arabic, Estonian, Russian and Somali. The work is realised with a multi-channel speaker system.
Speakers of the most spoken foreign languages in Helsinki have contributed to the work:

يجلب Reflektor تجربة صوتية فريدة من نوعها إلى فوساري، كالاهدينيمي. يستكشف عمل الفنان أنتي بومالاينن العلاقة بين الإنسان والطبيعة:
يستمد التركيب الصوتي ”أنا حجر، أنا شجرة“ محتواه إلى حد كبير من الصوت البشري والمواد الطبيعية. ويمنح التركيب الصوتي ”أنا حجر، أنا شجرة“ أشجار الغابة وأحجارها صوتًا وهويةً تتيح للمشاهد التماهي مع الطبيعة المحيطة به. وبالإضافة إلى اللغة الفنلندية الأصلية، سيتم تنفيذ العمل بنسخة متعددة اللغات – حيث يمكن سماع عبارات ”أنا حجر، أنا شجرة“ باللغات العربية والإستونية والروسية والصومالية. يتم تنفيذ العمل باستخدام نظام مكبر صوت متعدد القنوات.
وقد ساهم في العمل متحدثو اللغات الأجنبية الأكثر تحدثًا في هلسنكي:

Reflektor toob Vuosaari, Kallahdenniemi unikaalse helikogemuse. Kunstnik Antti Puumalaineni teos uurib inimese ja looduse vahelist seost:
Heliinstallatsioon „Ma olen kivi, ma olen puu“ ammutab oma sisu suuresti inimhäälest ja looduslikest materjalidest. Heliinstallatsioon „Ma olen kivi, ma olen puu“ annab metsa puudele ja kividele hääle ja identiteedi, võimaldades vaatajal samastuda ümbritseva loodusega. Lisaks soome originaalkeelele esitatakse teos mitmekeelses versioonis – fraasid „Ma olen kivi, ma olen puu“ kõlavad araabia, eesti, vene ja somaalia keeles. Teos on teostatud mitmekanalilise kõlarisüsteemiga.
Teose valmimisse on panustanud Helsingis enim räägitud võõrkeelte kõnelejad:

Reflektor предлагает уникальный звуковой опыт в Вуосаари, Каллахденниеми. Работа художника Антти Пуумалайнена исследует связь между человеком и природой:
Звуковая инсталляция «Я – камень, я – дерево» черпает свое содержание в основном из человеческого голоса и природных материалов. Звуковая инсталляция «Я – камень, я – дерево» наделяет деревья и камни леса голосом и идентичностью, позволяя зрителю отождествить себя с окружающей природой. Помимо оригинального финского языка, работа будет представлена в многоязычной версии – фразы «Я – камень, я – дерево» можно услышать на арабском, эстонском, русском и сомалийском языках. Работа реализована с помощью многоканальной акустической системы.
В работе приняли участие носители самых распространенных иностранных языков в Хельсинки:

Reflektor Teurastamo
18. – 21.9. klo 18-22
The iconic Teurastamo area will be taken over by video, sound and light art to brighten up September evenings. Experience the pink pipe reaching for the sky and step inside behind the normally closed doors. During Reflektor, the restaurants in the Teurastamo area will be serving up their best for a piece of art.
The works will be up from 18-21 September from 18-22.
The works and route will be announced closer to the event.

Reflektor MALMI
19. – 22.9.
For the second time, Reflektor brings the atmosphere of audiovisual art to the Ala-Malmi area. Start your journey at the old post house in Ala-Malmin tori, where the drawings of 100 Malmi children are projected in the work “Malmi Maps”. Continue your journey behind Malmitalo to the pavilion, from there to the Parish House and finish your experience in the courtyard of the Granlund building, where you can immerse yourself in a world of energy. Reflektor Malmi’s work Malmi Maps has been realised with a development grant from the City of Helsinki, in collaboration with the Finnish Child Welfare Association.
The works will be on site from 18 to 21 September, 18-22.

Reflektor Vantaa
26. – 29.9. klo 18-22
Vantaa, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, will receive a worthy gift when Reflektor spreads to the Tikkurila area near the Heureka Science Centre. There will be indoor and outdoor works to experience along the route, and as the evening cools down there will be a chance to visit the Heureka exhibition with a discounted evening ticket.
The Reflektor Vantaa route will introduce you to your inner astronaut with space-themed works and relax with sound art. In the Lantern Park, the beautiful and unusual lanterns will catch your eye.
The works will be on site from 26 to 29 September from 18-22.
