The audio work by Wailing Spirit offers its listeners an opportunity to experience unity with their environment. This work, dealing with awareness and personal transformation, invites people to gather around the sound. The piece is backed by research on the Schumann resonance (7.83 Hz), said to be caused by electromagnetic radiation between the Earth and its ionosphere, the upper layer of the planet’s atmosphere. Some beliefs suggest that the Schumann resonance is the fundamental frequency of universal harmony, resonating with the core of existence. It is believed to be like a cosmic heartbeat, connecting all living beings and the Earth itself to a harmonic energy network. Grounding is a commissioned work for Reflektor and it premiered at the Reflektor Vantaa event in the autumn of 2023.
