With the help of a resonance, Grounding grants visitors the possibility to experience a connection with the surrounding world. Consciousness and personal growth are key concepts of the totem-like sound artwork. The artwork is based on a study of Schumann resonance (7,83 Hz), which is said to be caused by lightning discharges in the space formed by the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere, the upper atmosphere of Earth. According to some beliefs, Schumann resonance is the base frequency of universal harmony, which resonates with the core of all things being. It is considered to be like a cosmic heartbeat connecting all living beings and Earth itself in a harmonious energy network.
