During Reflektor Sotkamo Presents, the 250-metre-long light artwork located on Hiukka’s sandy slopes will be greeting friends and visitors with a new look. Exited by the event, the work will take part in the celebration with its own unique and local way. 

Existing in harmony with nature, this permanent light artwork depicts the phenomena and character of seasons. At times, the work honours special days in Finland or comments on world events.

Jukka Laukkanen, based in Northern Finland, is a light artist who naturally moves from one field to another: from performing arts to architecture and to environmental art. The nature of light inspires him daily, even though Laukkanen has worked with light for over 25 years.
