Sofia Ivarsson (SE / DK) Timegazing, 2018

’Timegazing’ is a kinetic light art piece that studies light as a constantly ever-changing, responsive and contextual material that always exists in relation to what it reveals. It shows the fundamental physics of light, by splitting white light into its constituent parts, as an example of refraction and dispersion. When extracted from their natural context, even the simplest physical phenomena tend to gain our interest.
