Antti Pussinen Wireframe, 2025
The video installation explores the relationship between sound and space using Lissajous figures. Through three video channels, an immersive experience unfolds, where sound of the piece is transformed into imagery. The viewer can trace the crossing, layering and dissolving sound waves – as if witnessing sound itself breathing in space.
Wireframe is part of visual artist Antti Pussinen’s ongoing exploration of a technique for exposing sound waves directly onto photographic paper, using modified and repurposed cathode-ray tubes. Works from this process have been exhibited at the Hyvinkää Art Museum, Mänttä Art Festival and Turku Art Hall. Wireframe marks the artist’s first audiovisual video work to emerge from this series.
