Jukka Laukkanen Vuodenaikoja, 2024

Laukkanen’s light art, designed for the sandy slopes of Hiukka in Sotkamo, is a 250-metre-long fixed light artwork in harmony with nature. Themes of the artwork depict the phenomena and nature of the seasons. Sometimes the work commemorates Finnish anniversaries, sometimes it comments on world events. The theme of the Reflektor Sotkamo event and throughout October is “Changing Ruska”. “Ruska” is the meaning of leaves changing colours during fall.
The theme of the work will change daily during the Reflektor event.
