Matti Jykylä Sunset Automat, 2024

‘The Sunset Automat’ is an interactive and generative video work in which the user of the machine creates unique sunsets by pressing the red trigger button. The work explores the most spectacular phenomenon of natural light through artificial light and humour.

Sunset Automat is currently also on display at the Ihmemaa-X exhibition in Kerava.

Matti Jykylä is a light artist and curator. He has been a member of Reflektor’s artistic team since 2018.
