Red Forest, created by the Sun Effects collective, transforms the forest area of Ankkapuisto into a glowing sea of red. The installation symbolizes both a warning and a celebration of life – red is nature’s alarm signal, but also the color of renewal. Red Forest explores humanity’s con-nection to nature, reminding us of the importance of conservation and the eternal cycle of the natural world. Rooted deeply in the movement of light, Red Forest was first featured as a part of Reflektor Sotkamo in 2024. The forest’s red glow invites us to contemplate its mystery and vulnerability.
